- (1904–43), US jazz pianist, songwriter, bandleader, and singer; born Thomas Wright Waller. The composer of the songs “Ain't Misbehavin'” (1928) and “Honeysuckle Rose” (1929), he was the foremost exponent of the New York “stride school” of piano playing.
